Jordanna has extensive dancing experience, including ballet, contemporary dance, modern jazz, hip hop, and tap. After completing high school Jordanna continued her dance studies by completing an Associate Degree in Dance at the Queensland University of Technology. Jordanna opened her studio, previously known as Pilates with Jordanna, in October 2005 and it has grown into one of the most popular and well sought after Pilates studios in Brisbane
Jordanna has combined her dancing expertise with the Pilates Method since 2002 when she started her Pilates career with the Pilates Institute of Australasia (PIA). In 2008 Jordanna completed her full Comprehensive Training Course with Body Arts and Science (BASI). In 2011 and 2013 Jordanna learnt directly from her Mentor Rael Isacowitz (Owner and Founder of Body Arts and Science Int) on the Mentor Program at BASI head quarters, and has completed the Master Program in Dec 2014.
Pilates Studio 64 has grown over the years and from 2018 will be the offical headquarters for 'BASI Pilates Australia'. Teacher training, advanced education and student workshops are held regularly at the studio for all BASI Pilates teachers and trainers. Jordanna is very proud to represent and direct BASI Pilates in Australia alongside her husband Shayne.
Jordanna is also a Bootybarre instructor completing her barre training in 2012 with founder and inspiration Tracey Mallett. Barre classes are so popular throughout America, making it an easy decision to add this program to her studio and for her clientele.
Jordanna thoroughly enjoys seeing her clients progress from their initial beginners or rehabilitation programs to moving freely with functional movement patterns and quality of life. Clients are referred to Jordanna for numerous reasons but continue their Pilates sessions as a way of life.
Since having her first child in 2015, Jordanna loves helping women prepare for pregnancy and post-natal pilates programs. Teaching Pilates for mothers in her studio brings enjoyment and fulfilment every week.
Jordanna is a Principle Trainer with the Pilates Alliance Australia (PAA) and holds a Cert IV in training and assessment.
SHAYNE SMITH: PILATES SPECIALIST
BASI Pilates Faculty | Z-Health Practitioner
Shayne is a qualified Karate instructor and holds the rank of 4th Dan Shidoin, awarded by the Shukukai World Karate Union. Shayne has been a Karate Practitioner since 1992 training with Samurai International World Chief Instructor Shihan Paul Mitchell 8th Dan.
In 2006 Shayne started training in the Pilates method for a knee injury sustained during Karate competition. During this time he found the same passion for Pilates as Karate and since then has become a qualified BASI Instructor.
Shayne's passion and interest grew in the Pilates method after meeting and practising with his mentor Rael Isacowitz. Rael’s inspiration of the Pilates method has encouraged Shayne to further develop the importance of Pilates for men and is continually involved with advanced education, interstate and internationally.
Enhancing his Pilates knowledge Shayne also has furthered his studies in neurology and pain management with Dr Eric Cobb creator and co- founder of Z-Health Performance based in Arizona USA. Since 2012 Shayne has completed his teaching courses with Z-health and is one of few instructors in Australia currently practising the Z-health system.
Shayne is a Qualified Z-Health Practitioner in : R-Phase, S-Phase, T-Phase and looks forward to his continuing study in the field.

Özge first started practicing Pilates in 2011 because of a back injury she sustained practicing tango. At the time she was working as a manager of a busy patisserie company in Turkey but following her introduction to Pilates and after seeing her personal recovery and success she chose to assist others in the Pilates method.
She undertook her Balanced Body Mat & Reformer Certifications in Istanbul and in late 2014 after marrying her Australian partner she moved to Australia where she met Jordanna and Shayne.
After seeing their high level of teaching techniques in the Body Arts and Science (BASI) Pilates, she decided to carry on her education with them. Özge will start her full comprehensive training course with BASI in June 2015. She is looking forward to learning, sharing, and practicing Pilates in the years to come

Rheanne started Ballet when she was 4 years old and has completed her Royal Academy of Dance grading syllabus. It was through her ballet practise, Rheanne discovered an interest in the way the body can perform and maintain such actions. In secondary school, Rheanne completed both certificate 3 and 4 in fitness alongside her OP studies. Rheanne started Pilates when she was 15 years old, to enhance her practice at the barre and then established a passion for the method. In December 2015, Rheanne joined the team at Pilates Studio 64 as the receptionist. Rheanne has commenced her studies of BASI Pilates in 2016 and looks forward to achieving her full certification within the next year. Rheanne has a desire to help wiling clients achieve their movement goals and she looks forward to continuously learning from the instructors at PS64.

Katrina has always loved being active by running and swimming but a turning point was returning to contemporary dance in 2008 after 28 years. Katrina soon realised she needed to improve her core strength and balance and started pilates with Jordanna in 2009. Naturally, when Booty Barre was introduced in 2012, Katrina was hooked. Currently training to be a certified Booty Barre Instructor, Katrina believes the exercise programme covers all aspects of physical fitness - strength, aerobic fitness, flexibility, fun and great music!
Katrina is currently studying her BASI Pilates full comprehensive teacher training program !

Johanna first found booty barre in 2013 after looking for a way to get back to the ballet barre after injury ended her professional ballet career. It was a perfect match and she loved the integration of ballet, Pilates and a whole body workout. She began dancing at the age of the 3 and this passion lead her to complete her diploma in dance and then dance with Queensland ballet professional year and most recently ballet companies in New York. On returning to Brisbane she began her studies in Physiotherapy and loves the challenge of her studies. She loves seeing clients performing at their best and achieving their goals and hopes to integrate booty barre and her physiotherapy practices one day.

Anna has been a dedicated Pilates client of Jordanna's since 2007. In early 2012 when Jordanna introduced a new and complimentary exercise method 'Booty Barre', Anna fell in love. After attending Jordanna's Barre classes religiously since it's inception, Anna decided to undertake the Teacher Training course to become a fully certified instructor in August 2013. Having worked closely with Jordanna to hone her instructing skills, Anna provides a challenging, fun and high energy class. Anna is passionate about the Booty Barre method and loves to see the improvement in her students' strength and fitness.
Mick is a qualified Indo-Row instructor and comes from an extensive Tennis background playing competitively for over 15 years.
He is also very passionate about leading a healthy lifestyle through consistent training and a well balanced routine. Mick is also looking to further his Health & Fitness studies by attending the BASI Mat Instructor program and Nutritional course.

"It was my privilege to grow up in Wollongong, NSW, where the beaches and ocean are not dissimilar to those on the Sunshine Coast, where my husband and I settled on an Avocado Farm in 1980. We raised 4 children, a daughter and 3 sons. During my time living and working overseas, I began practicing Yoga very conscientiously, and followed this practice through, until our move to Brisbane in 2001. Unfortunately, in 2003, I came to grief with a motor vehicle while on holiday in Singapore! This incident was followed by several operations and long hospital 'holidays'!
During this time, I was most fortunate to link up with Jordanna when she opened her Studio in Albany Creek. Here I found positive action and the hope of rehabilitation for my smashed ankle! This process was slow going, but eventually I was able to throw away the crutches and finally my overly expensive brace for the last time. Happily, I was able to resume Study at TAFE, and completed the Visual and Fine Arts Diploma in 2010.
In 2013, with Shayne and Jordanna's encouragement, I undertook the BASI International, Pilates Teacher Training Course. This has been an enduring and ongoing challenge, but one that continues to be most fulfilling , spiritually, mentally and physically. I firmly believe that the commitment to the practice of pilates, is an affirmative investment in enabling and maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle, no matter how many years 'young'.
After over 20 years in the fitness industry, Di felt the nudge to explore yoga and fell in love at her first class. Several trainings and many years later, Di is still in love with yoga and sharing her passion with others.
Di has been teaching yoga in corporate, private and public studios for the last seven years and has studied under many teachers, most notably World Renowned teacher trainer, Nicky Knoff, Carrie Anne Fields and her personal teacher, Santina Giardina Chard. She believes we live to learn and is a permanent student, with yoga one of her favourite subjects.
She teaches a wide range of yoga styles, including Vinyasa flow, Hatha yoga, Power Yoga, Yin and Long, Slow Deep. Due to the versatility of yoga Di likes to match her classes to the needs of her students and as such spends time teaching yoga specific to sporting groups and equestrians.
A qualified Holistic Health Coach and Bowen Therapist for both people and animals, Di loves to spend her spare time with her family of people and animals, large and small, preferably at the beach.
